Amazon Prime Video has announced the release date for its biopic, “Midas Man,” which explores the life of The Beatles’ manager, Brian Epstein. The film is scheduled to premiere on October 30, 2024.
“Midas Man” looks at Epstein’s significant influence on music history. From his humble beginnings managing a record store in Liverpool to guiding The Beatles’ rise to international fame, the film looks into Epstein’s driven and passionate character. It also provides a glimpse into the personal battles he faced as a homosexual man, particularly in an era of societal non-acceptance.
The cast features Jacob Fortune-Lloyd as Epstein, the supporting cast includes Ed Speleers, Eddie Izzard, and Emily Watson. The film is directed by Joe Stephenson and written by Brigit Grant.
Midas Man is produced by Perry Trevers, Trevor Beattie, Jeremy Chatterton, William Dietrich, Richard Holmes and Tom Reeve p.g.e. Executive producers include Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Steffen Wild, Asaf Nawi, Mark Borkowski, Peter Dunne, Saskia Thomas and Ian Hutchinson.
