The Proof Is Out There: Alien Golden Orb, Yeti Caught on Tape, Las Vegas Close Encounter (History, Friday, June 13, 2025)

The Proof Is Out There

Expect more mysterious lights in the sky, blurry Bigfoot footage, and close encounters of the Vegas kind, as History’s The Proof is Out There kicks off its fifth season Friday, June 13 at 10:03 PM ET. The premiere episode, Alien Golden Orb, Yeti Caught on Tape, Las Vegas Close Encounter, sets the stage for more of the paranormal deep dives that have helped the series find an audience.

Host Tony Harris returns to guide viewers through a trio of head-scratchers: an unexplained golden orb captured on film (presumably extraterrestrial in origin), what’s purported to be a Yeti caught on tape, and something strange that went down in Sin City.

Whether any of these episodes will give up their secrets remains an open question. The formula is simple, and it clearly works. Harris and his team present the evidence—often grainy video or eyewitness accounts—and then put it through the wringer of expert analysis.

The results can be anticlimactic (swamp gas), intriguing (optical illusion), or somewhere in between (military experiment gone wrong). Either way, The Proof is Out There has carved out its niche as a Friday night destination for anyone who likes their television with a side of unexplained phenomena.

The Proof Is Out There airs Fridays at 10:03 PM ET on History.
