Queen of the Castle: Episode 5 (CTV Life Channel, Wednesday, April 23, 2025)

CTV Life Channel’s “Queen of the Castle” continues its run this Wednesday with a blend of birthday surprises and bar renovations. Episode 5 finds Dr. Ann Kaplan Mulholland, the Canadian socialite turned castle owner, stirring things up in the typically quiet English town of Hythe. Her arrival, along with husband Dr. Stephen Mulholland, has been a topic of conversation, to say the least, as they work to transform the medieval Lympne Castle into a luxury destination.

This week, Ann enlists the help of an event planner to orchestrate a surprise birthday bash within the castle walls. One can only imagine the logistical challenges of throwing a party in a centuries-old structure. Alongside the festivities, the castle’s bar gets a much-needed makeover. The challenge, of course, is blending modern amenities with the historic charm of the space.

“Queen of the Castle” thrives on this juxtaposition of old and new, of Canadian exuberance meeting traditional English reserve. It’s a culture clash with a side of construction dust, and so far, it’s been surprisingly watchable.

Tune in to CTV Life Channel this Wednesday, April 23rd at 8:00 PM ET to see what surprises Ann has in store for Lympne Castle – and for the unsuspecting residents of Hythe.
