The pressure mounts on BBC One’s “Race Across the World” as the remaining five pairs continue their epic journey. This Wednesday, the race takes them from the tropical beaches of Sanya to the mountainous terrain of Shangri-La, a city perched on the edge of the Tibetan plateau.
While race leaders Elizabeth and Letitia forge ahead, ex-married couple Yin and Gaz find themselves significantly behind, having encountered setbacks on the mainland. With a massive 44-hour gap separating first and last place, Yin and Gaz face a monumental task to catch up.
Without smartphones or the convenience of air travel, “Race Across the World” contestants must rely on resourcefulness, resilience, and a bit of luck to get ahead. Will Yin and Gaz manage to close the gap or will their race come to an end? Find out on Wednesday, 7 May at 9:00 PM GMT on BBC One.
