The Real Housewives of New York City “A Tantrum and a Truce” (Bravo, December 17, 2024)

The Real Housewives of New York City

The ladies of the Big Apple continue their Puerto Rican getaway in this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of New York City. While the scenic backdrop of San Juan might suggest relaxation and tropical tranquility, the Housewives, as always, find ways to generate their own unique brand of chaos.

Retail therapy and sightseeing are on the itinerary, but so is interpersonal drama. Erin takes center stage (surprise!), sharing an, ahem, revealing photo of Abe with Jenna and Brynn. This display of questionable judgment earns her disapproval from some of the other women, because sharing someone’s private photos without consent is generally frowned upon, even in the reality TV sphere.

Meanwhile, Racquel faces a far more significant and emotionally charged event: a reunion with her mother after a six-year estrangement. This storyline offers a glimpse into a more vulnerable side of Racquel, a welcome change of pace from the usual champagne-fueled squabbles. Whether this reconciliation brings lasting peace or opens old wounds, well, that remains to be seen, but you know its being filmed by Bravo and will air for the world to see, it has to be one or the other.

While the Puerto Rican setting provides a vibrant backdrop, the true drama, as always, lies in the complicated interactions between these women. Will Erin’s latest antics finally push the group’s tolerance to its breaking point? Will Racquel find the closure she seeks? And how many shots of beachfront property can Bravo squeeze into a single episode?

The Real Housewives of New York City airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
