The drama in Potomac doesn’t let up in Episode 2 of this new ninth season, as Gizelle’s “Hattitude” party serves as the backdrop for both mending fences and breaking bonds. Wendy and Gizelle attempt to reconcile their fractured friendship over oysters and trout, with a tentative truce. They agree to be upfront when tensions arise, though Wendy isn’t rushing to bestie status just yet. In the meantime, Mia’s parenting comes under fire, but the ladies manage to smooth things over with an apology, even if Mia takes mental notes.

Elsewhere, Stacey opens up about her complicated personal life. Her recent revelation that her new partner, TJ, is waiting until marriage for intimacy leaves Ashley shocked and mildly perplexed. The news that Stacey and her soon-to-be ex-husband are still living together only adds another twist to the already messy situation.

Karen and Gizelle’s fragile relationship takes a hit when Karen holds an event that conflicts with Gizelle and Ashley’s charity bash. The group’s loyalties are tested as they scramble between the two, with Karen’s event winning out. Though some manage to make both appearances, Gizelle, unimpressed, calls security to handle the situation.
