Reunion time has arrived for the Potomac Housewives, and as always, anticipation is high for a volcanic eruption of truth-telling, shade-throwing, and wig-snatching. This season’s installment, however, begins with a notable absence: Karen Huger, the self-proclaimed Grande Dame of Potomac, is conspicuously missing from the couch. One can only speculate about the reasons – a scheduling conflict, a strategic power play, or perhaps a sudden allergy to accountability?
Her absence isn’t stopping the other ladies from airing their grievances. Wendy, never one to mince words, expresses her disappointment with Karen’s perceived lack of ownership over…well, pretty much everything. Meanwhile, the specter of divorce looms large, with Ashley, Mia, and Stacey all grappling with the messy realities of unraveling marriages. Expect tears, recriminations, and possibly even a legal document or two waved menacingly in the air.
Adding fuel to the fire, the Miami trip – a reliable source of drama in any Housewives franchise – comes back to haunt Mia. Both Candiace and Gizelle seem determined to dissect Mia’s behavior, which, if memory serves, involved some questionable financial disclosures and a general air of chaos. It’s a reunion set to deliver the usual cocktail of interpersonal fireworks and personal turmoil.
“The Real Housewives of Potomac” airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
