Real Housewives of Salt Lake City “Rooms for Improvement” (Bravo, Wednesday, December 11, 2024)

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City

Another week, another round of exquisitely manufactured drama in the Beehive State. This week’s installment of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, “Rooms for Improvement,” seems determined to live up to its moniker, although whether that means improved behavior or just improved chaos is up for debate. Frankly, my money’s on the latter.

First up, Angie Harrington is apparently nursing a bruised ego after Meredith Marks’ Bat Mitzvah extravaganza. Details remain sparse, but it seems Angie perceives a slight, which, in the world of Housewives, is akin to a declaration of war. Expect passive-aggressive barbs, thinly veiled insults disguised as compliments, and a general air of icy tension between the two.

Then, because no Housewives episode is complete without a petty squabble, we have Bronwyn Windham-Burke and Lisa Barlow locking horns over…room assignments. Yes, you read that correctly. Apparently, the strategic placement of beds during a group getaway is enough to ignite a full-blown conflagration. One can only imagine the breathless pronouncements of betrayal and the dramatic pronouncements about who deserves the best view.

Amid the manufactured mayhem, there’s a hint of actual family drama. Mary Cosby is grappling with some serious issues involving her son, Robert Jr., prompting her to stay in Salt Lake City. Whether this will be a genuine exploration of family troubles or simply another storyline for Cosby to manipulate remains to be seen. Still, it’s a departure from the usual champagne-fueled spats and could offer a glimpse into a different side of the Salt Lake City saga.

“Rooms for Improvement” airs Wednesday at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
