On New Year’s Eve, a night of celebration turns to tragedy when Tara Gillon is found murdered in her home. The crime scene offers detectives in her small Massachusetts town very little to work with. There is no obvious suspect and few clues, leaving the investigation at a standstill almost immediately.
The only piece of evidence is a single trail of footprints left in the freshly fallen snow outside, along with one of the victim’s missing shoes. The case becomes a twisted, real-life Cinderella story where investigators must hope that finding the person who fits the evidence will finally lead them to a killer.
