Bill Maher’s back behind the desk this Friday, June 13, at 10 PM ET on HBO. His roundtable this week includes Senator John Fetterman, Eurasia Group president Ian Bremmer, and historian Rutger Bregman, author of Utopia for Realists. Given the range of opinions represented, consider it a strong possibility that things could get, shall we say, spirited.
Maher’s opening monologue will likely touch on the latest political headlines—no doubt with the usual spark of curmudgeonly commentary. Fetterman, always a compelling voice, will offer a perspective from inside the Beltway. Bremmer’s foreign policy expertise will likely bring a global angle to the discussion. And Bregman, known for his work on universal basic income, will likely inject a more progressive economic slant into the conversation.
Whether these points of view will coalesce or combust is an open question. What is certain is that Real Time almost never delivers a dull moment, especially with a guest list as varied as this one.
Real Time with Bill Maher airs Fridays at 10:00 PM ET on HBO.
