In the upcoming episode of Rebus, airing on Saturday, 1 June 2024, at 9:20 pm on BBC One, John Rebus’s words come back to haunt him. John’s brother abducts a drug dealer and recruits ex-army comrades for a risky raid, while John hears a paralysed former partner’s confession.
Michael’s rash act in Fife continues to have bloody consequences for John, who faces a fatal confrontation. John is frustrated, unaware that the rivalry between gangsters Ger Cafferty and Darryl Christie is escalating. Michael and John both have motivation to kill Cafferty. Lives are at stake, with John’s loyalties torn and more revelations to come.
Meanwhile, John’s new detective partner, Siobhan Clarke, finds out who was behind the violent street attack they are investigating. John confesses to contact with Cafferty, and his family pose unexpected problems, along with an awkward affair.
