Things are about to boil over in the small South African town of Eden, where Tannie Maria, recipe columnist and amateur detective, finds herself embroiled in another murder mystery. When a woman who’d written to Maria turns up dead, Maria and her colleague, Jessie, must once again don their investigative aprons. And this time, the stakes are higher than ever.
“Come Home to Roost,” airing this Monday on Acorn TV, picks up with Maria receiving a chilling letter: a confession to the murders. The town goes into lockdown, and with Detective Khaya still reeling from recent events, it’s up to Maria and Jessie to sift through the suspects and uncover the truth. But the investigation takes a dangerous turn when Jackie’s life is threatened by a mysterious visitor.
