Things are heating up in Eden, both literally and figuratively, as “Recipes for Love & Murder” returns for its second season. A massive fire sets the stage for a new wave of mysteries, and Tannie Maria, the food writer turned amateur sleuth, finds herself once again embroiled in a multiple murder investigation.
The two-episode premiere kicks off with “Once Upon a Time,” dropping at 3:01 AM ET. As Hattie prepares to announce her mayoral campaign, a series of fires breaks out across town, casting a shadow over the upcoming election. Meanwhile, someone is trying to frame Maria for Mickey’s murder, and it’s up to her, Jessie, and Khaya to uncover the real culprit.
The second episode, “A Little Guilt Goes a Long Way,” reveals a shocking truth during Frank’s autopsy. Maria also finds herself getting a little too involved with a local support group after meeting a mechanic. The small-town charm of Eden seems to hide its fair share of dark secrets, and Tannie Maria, with her keen eye for detail (and her delicious recipes), is just the person to bring them to light.
