The Red Bull Soapbox Race is hitting Discovery this Tuesday. For those unfamiliar with this glorious blend of engineering, creativity, and controlled chaos, the premise is simple: teams design and build their own non-motorized soapbox cars and race them down a challenging course.
This first episode takes us to London, where racers will careen through the city streets in contraptions that look like they were assembled from spare parts and sheer willpower. The judging criteria? Speed, naturally, along with creativity and showmanship. So, expect designs that are as outrageous as they are aerodynamically questionable.
