Kamohai and Tristyn Kalama, the dynamic duo behind HGTV’s “Renovation Aloha,” are back, and this time, they’re going big. Like, really big. Tuesday’s episode, “Biggest Purchase Ever,” sees the couple take on their most ambitious project yet: a five-unit compound on Kalama Street. Renovating in O’ahu, one of the most expensive real estate markets in the country, is no easy feat, and this undertaking takes the challenge to a whole new level.
Phase One of this massive project focuses on a dilapidated duplex, a blank canvas just begging for the Kalama’s signature blend of Hawaiian charm and modern design. While the scale of the compound presents a significant hurdle, it’s also an opportunity for the couple to flex their creative muscles and show their ability to transform even the most unpromising spaces into island oases.
