For Kamohai and Tristyn, the stars of HGTV’s “Renovation Aloha,” expanding their business to the Big Island is a big step. But with new territory comes new headaches. This week’s episode, “Original,” airing Tuesday, March 11th, finds the couple tackling a substantial project in Kailua-Kona, a home in dire need of some serious TLC.
The drama gets real, however, when their new contractor fails to show up for work. Suddenly, Kamohai and Tristyn are scrambling to keep the project on schedule, facing the added challenge of managing the renovation from afar. It’s a test of their resourcefulness and their ability to handle the inevitable curveballs that come with any construction project, especially one on a different island.
