Pip Martin brings in a beloved family heirloom—a 1930s doll named Annabelle—that needs the expertise of Julie Tatchell and Amanda Middleditch, also known as The Bear Ladies. Annabelle has a special connection to Pip’s great aunt Eileen, who fostered numerous children, all of whom played with the doll. Unfortunately, the doll was damaged during a house move, and its head is now detached, with its neck in pieces and no hair remaining. The Bear Ladies set out to restore Annabelle to her original condition, complete with a new set of clothes reminiscent of the era.
Lastly, Tony Jhalli brings in a dhol drum, an Indian musical instrument with cultural and religious significance. Gifted to him by his father, a popular bhangra musician, the drum has been damaged over the years by younger family members.
