In the fourth episode of Rescue 999: Seconds to Save a Life, multiple rescue teams across the UK spring into action.
The episode begins with the Cambridgeshire air ambulance crew rushing to a serious traffic collision near Wellingborough. A motorcyclist has been thrown from his bike and severely injured. The team works swiftly to assess and manage his injuries before airlifting him to a trauma center for urgent medical attention.
Off the south coast, the Hamble Lifeboat crew faces a challenging rescue mission when they receive a distress call from a sailor and her elderly father. The pair are stranded aboard a stricken yacht with engine failure, at risk of being dragged into busy shipping lanes by the tide.
Meanwhile, in Essex, another air ambulance team is dispatched to a large-scale cycling event where a cyclist has sustained a worrying head injury. The rider is highly agitated, and the crew suspects a serious brain injury. They sedate him and race against time to get him to the hospital for emergency surgery while carefully monitoring his condition.
On the East coast, the Hornsea Inshore Rescue crew receives a distress call about a stranded jet ski being dragged out to sea with an 11-year-old girl on board. With waves rising, the team faces a difficult task: locating the small jet ski in the vast ocean and reaching them before they drift too far from shore.
