Monday night on FOX, “Rescue: HI-Surf” takes viewers on another wave of thrilling rescues and drama. “Pono,” airing at 9:00 PM ET/PT, finds Emily “Em” Wright (Arielle Kebbel) hoping for a rare day off. Fat chance. Her downtime is interrupted by a real downer – an unresponsive cave diver.
Meanwhile, Will Ready (Adam Demos) finally starts to unpack some of his baggage, talking to Vince (Moronai Kanekoa) about his anger management struggles. Will this lead to some actual character growth, or is it just a temporary lull before the next inevitable outburst? Time will tell. Elsewhere, Laka (Kekoa Kekumano) is on the hunt for a missing local, because apparently one crisis at a time isn’t enough for the “Rescue: HI-Surf” crew.
“Pono” also features Robbie Magasiva as Harlan “Sonny” Jennings, Zoe Cipres as Hina Alexander, and Alex Aiono as Kainalu Emerson, with guest appearances from Christina Souza, Ka’enaaloha Watson, Taylor Cooper, and Missy Yager. Tune in to FOX this Sunday to see if Em can save the diver, Will can manage his temper, and Laka can find the missing person, all before the end credits roll. It’s a tall order, even for a team of highly-trained lifeguards.
