Comedy Central has renewed “Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains” for a sixth season. The show, hosted by the hilarious Rhod Gilbert, explores the awkward and embarrassing teenage years of celebrity guests, offering a unique and entertaining twist on the traditional talk show format.
In each episode, Gilbert is joined by a trio of famous faces who share cringe-worthy stories from their youth, competing to uncover who had the most traumatic adolescence. It’s a light-hearted and humorous take on the struggles we all faced growing up, and viewers can’t get enough of it.
The fifth season is currently airing on Comedy Central, with new episodes every Monday at 9:00 p.m. And there’s more good news: the show will feature two special festive episodes later this year, celebrating Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
Gilbert himself expressed his enthusiasm for the renewal, jokingly proclaiming his love for the show and his willingness to waive his fee (a statement humorously retracted soon after!). Luke Hales, SVP Content & Brand Strategy at MTV Entertainment Group, shared in the excitement, highlighting the festive episodes as a special treat for loyal viewers.
“Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains” is produced by Rumpus Media, and Josephine Brassey, Acting Managing Director, emphasized their commitment to bringing new talent into the industry through their successful trainee scheme. The show has provided a platform for emerging talent, both behind and in front of the camera.
