In the latest episode of Rich Holiday, Poor Holiday, we see two families with very different holiday preferences and budgets swap trips.
Millionaire property developer and single mum Charlotte and her 9-year-old daughter, Florence, usually enjoy five-star luxury in locations like Marbella. For this experiment, they trade their glamorous trips for a rural break on a dairy farm in Lancashire. The pair will stay in wooden pods, experience life on a working farm, and navigate the challenges of basic facilities, a tight budget, and the unpredictable British weather.
On the other hand, mum-of-two Charlotte and her partner, Paul, typically forgo holidays to focus on their young family. For their turn, they leave the kids at home and jet off to stunning Montenegro, where they check into an exclusive five-star boutique hotel with a suite overlooking the Adriatic Sea. With a nightly rate three times their house’s value, Paul is determined to give Charlotte a well-deserved break filled with pampering, fine dining, and adventurous activities like paragliding.
As the two Charlottes and their partners embrace these contrasting holidays, the question arises: will they be able to relax and find happiness in such unfamiliar environments? Will vegan Charlotte and Florence adapt to farm life and the simple pleasures it offers? Can Paul and Charlotte unwind and connect away from their children in such extravagant surroundings? And ultimately, when the holiday ends, will Florence choose a British farm break over her usual beach vacations?
