Rich Holiday, Poor Holiday Season 4 Premiere (Channel 5, 25 August 2024)

Channel 5

In the season premiere, Welsh factory workers and father-son duo, Chris and Daniel, trade their modest camping trips for a luxurious holiday in Miami Beach. They swap lives with big-spending family Maisie, her partner Liam, and their ten-year-old daughter, Gracie, for whom a pair of shoes worth £1500 is considered a bargain.

Chris and Daniel leave their budget-conscious ways behind as they immerse themselves in the VIP lifestyle of Miami. They speed across the waters in a private boat, cruise in a convertible Mustang, and even feed alligators in the Everglades National Park. Meanwhile, Maisie, Liam, and Gracie bid farewell to their extravagant tastes and head to Hartlepool in the North East, where they stay on a sailboat—a tight space not much larger than a car.

For Daniel, this holiday is about more than just a change of scenery. Having endured a challenging recovery from a car accident, he sees this trip as an opportunity to reclaim his confidence and express his gratitude to his father, Chris, for being his unwavering support. On the other hand, Maisie hopes that the budget break will bring her partner, Liam, and daughter, Gracie, closer together, fostering a stronger bond within their family.
