Ridley returns with a new mystery to unravel in the second two-part story “The Hollow Tree.” When a decomposed body is discovered in the woods, ex-detective inspector Alex Ridley (Adrian Dunbar) finds himself drawn into the investigation. The case takes a surprising turn as Ridley uncovers a connection to an old cold case.
Disgraced former police officer Jean Dixon (Elizabeth Berrington), who is brought in to assist with the mysterious body found in the forest. As the investigation progresses, Jean’s personal life becomes intertwined with the case, particularly her relationship with her new partner, Ross.
