Just when you thought the Gemstone family couldn’t get any more dysfunctional, they gather at their lake house for what is sure to be a weekend of biblical proportions. In “He Goeth Before You Into Galilee,” airing Sunday, March 30th at 10:00 PM ET on HBO, the Gemstone siblings prove that even grief can be exploited for personal gain.
With Baby Billy joining the fray, the siblings hatch a scheme to use the memory of their dearly departed Aimee-Leigh as ammunition against Eli’s new relationship. Yes, you read that right. They’re weaponizing Mom. Because what’s a little emotional manipulation between family members who also happen to be televangelists?
“The Righteous Gemstones” excels at mining dark humor from the hypocrisy and absurdity of its characters, and this episode looks to continue that tradition. Expect plenty of scheming, backstabbing, and questionable moral choices as the Gemstones go to any lengths to achieve their goals.
