HBO’s “The Righteous Gemstones” continues its darkly comedic exploration of the world’s most famous (and most dysfunctional) televangelist family. In this Sunday’s episode, “You Shall Remember,” precarious positions, ambitious projects, and a healthy dose of sibling rivalry shake things up for the Gemstone clan.
Lori finds herself in a risky situation, the details of which remain tantalizingly vague. Knowing the Gemstones, it could involve anything from a questionable financial investment to a full-blown PR nightmare. Meanwhile, Baby Billy is up to his usual shenanigans, trying to drum up support for his latest harebrained scheme. Will he manage to convince anyone of its merits, or will he just annoy everyone in the process?
And then there’s the ongoing power struggle between Kelvin and Vance, which comes to a head in this episode. These two have always had a complicated relationship, a mix of begrudging respect and simmering resentment. What sets them off this time?
