“Road Rage” is back with the second episode of the evening, and this time, the asphalt’s getting angrier. Tuesday’s episode, “Angry Asphalts,” offers a potent cocktail of vehicular violence, parking lot pugilism, and general automotive anarchy, all captured on camera for your viewing displeasure.
First up, we witness a couple on a leisurely drive subjected to a terrifying roadside assault by a man whose anger management skills appear to have taken a permanent detour. Then, the episode shifts gears to focus on the increasingly popular (and utterly baffling) trend of brake-checking, as drivers attempt to fend off these rolling roadblocks.
“Angry Asphalts” doesn’t stop there. The episode takes a darker turn with a chilling encounter where a family is forced to defend themselves against a knife-wielding assailant. And as if that weren’t enough, the episode wraps up with a verbal sparring match between two women in a hospital parking lot, proving that even places of healing aren’t immune to the contagious fury of the road.
“Road Rage” continues its mission of documenting the rising tide of vehicular aggression across America, using real footage captured by witnesses and surveillance cameras. It’s proof that the daily commute can quickly transform into a real-life action movie, albeit one with significantly lower production values and considerably higher stakes.
Road Rage airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on Investigation Discovery.
