Road Wars: Brick Wall Body Slam (A&E, Tuesday, January 14, 2025)

Just when you thought you’d seen it all on the asphalt, A&E’s Road Wars returns with another batch of vehicular mishaps and mayhem. This episode, “Brick Wall Body Slam,” doesn’t disappoint, delivering the kind of jaw-dropping footage that keeps viewers rubbernecking from the safety of their couches.

In New Mexico, a high-speed chase leads police on a merry-go-round of reckless driving, culminating in a surprising discovery inside the suspect’s vehicle. Meanwhile, in Michigan, a driver’s attempt at a neighborhood flight test ends abruptly when their car encounters a telephone pole. Let’s just say gravity always wins.

Across the pond in England, a car owner gets a painful lesson in physics when their own vehicle transforms into a projectile, sending them careening into a brick wall. One can only hope their insurance covers “ironic vehicular assault.” And finally, a California smoke shop owner likely had a different kind of “high” in mind when a car decided to make an unscheduled appearance through their storefront.

Beyond the usual fender benders and highway hijinks, “Brick Wall Body Slam” also offers a glimpse into the growing phenomenon of road rage. From minor disagreements to full-blown meltdowns, the episode explores the simmering tensions that can erupt on the open road, with one particularly memorable incident involving a Thai biker’s rather over-the-top reaction to a fender bender.

Combining a mix of accidents, inclement weather calamities, and the ever-unpredictable human element, Road Wars continues to be a reliable source of schadenfreude and a reminder to always buckle up.
