‘Rock the Block’ Crushes Ratings with 7.5M Viewers, Tops Cable in Key Demos for HGTV

Rock The Block Ty Pennington

HGTV has a certified hit on its hands. The latest season of Rock the Block pulled in 7.5 million viewers since launching April 14, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET/PT—making it one of the network’s biggest unscripted draws this year.

Hosted by Ty Pennington and produced by Big Table Media, the renovation battle royale has proven to be more than just a fan favorite—it’s a demo killer. Among Adults 25-54, the show averaged a 0.66 rating in live-plus-three-day, up 167% over HGTV’s prior six-week Monday average. It also ranked as the #1 non-news/sports show on ad-supported cable in its slot among both Adults and Men 25-54.

This season brought back returning favorites Alison Victoria & Michel Smith Boyd and Jonathan & Jordan Knight, who went head-to-head with rookies Chelsea & Cole DeBoer and Kamohai & Tristyn Kalama. The teams renovated four homes near Salt Lake City, with each team chasing the highest appraised value.

The show’s digital footprint also made noise—racking up 37.5 million total impressions across platforms and over 4.5 million page views on HGTV.com.

Streaming for current and past seasons is available on HBO Max and discovery+, but on linear, Rock the Block continues to deliver the kind of numbers that keep HGTV firmly planted in the unscripted game.
