Nat Geo Wild presents a double bill of Rocky Rapids Vet 9-1-1 episodes on Saturday April 27, offering viewers an insight into the world of veterinary medicine and the dedication of those who care for our four-legged friends.
In “Wild Rose Vets,” airing at 10.00pm, Dr. Dayle, a veterinarian based in rural Alberta, treats an adorable mini pony with a strange growth on its face.
Then in “Nine Lives” at 10.30pm Dr. Savannah, a mixed animal veterinarian, heads out to spay, neuter, and release dozens of feral cats. With her team’s help, she works to control the feral cat population while ensuring the cats’ health and safety.
Rocky Rapids Vet 9-1-1 follows the work of Dr. Savannah Howse-Smith, a Métis veterinarian based in rural Alberta. Each episode presents a range of cases, from emergency surgeries to wildlife rescues.
