The Roku Channel is adding to its holiday lineup with “Jingle Bell Love,” a romantic comedy starring Joey McIntyre and Michelle Morgan. Premiering November 18th, the Roku Original follows Jack Cooper (McIntyre) as he visits his deceased wife’s hometown for Christmas, where his daughter plays matchmaker, pairing him with a local shop owner (Morgan). The film will also feature a new original song, “A Brand New Christmas,” performed by McIntyre.
McIntyre, known for his music career with New Kids on the Block, has acting credits that include “The Fantasticks,” “Boston Public,” and Broadway roles in “Wicked” and “Waitress.” Morgan, a Canadian actress of Chilean descent, starred in George A. The film joins other Roku Original holiday offerings, including “The Great American Baking Show: Celebrity Holiday Special” and “Honest Renovations: A Holiday Makeover.”
“Jingle Bell Love” is produced by Incendo, with Graham Ludlow, Kaleigh Kavanagh, and Shari Segal serving as executive producers. Daren Flam and Stefanie Black created the film, directed by Anne De Léan. For Roku Originals, Morgan Pichinson leads scripted content, with Sabrina Lyall as scripted coordinator.
