Roku Expands Its Original Lifestyle Content with “The Great American Baking Show” and “Honest Renovations”

Roku has announced the expansion of its popular Roku Originals, “The Great American Baking Show” and “Honest Renovations.” The company has greenlit new seasonal specials for both franchises and renewed “The Great American Baking Show” for an early third season. The first seasons of both series were well-received, ranking as the top on-demand titles on The Roku Channel during their opening weekends.

Brian Tannenbaum, Head of Originals at Roku Media, praised the franchises, stating, “Featuring fantastic talent and heartwarming stories, ‘The Great American Baking Show’ and ‘Honest Renovations’ exemplify the best of Roku Originals” He emphasized their commitment to delivering exceptional content that resonates with millions of Roku streamers.

“The Great American Baking Show,” hosted by Casey Wilson and Zach Cherry, will return with three new specials: “The Great American Baking Show: Celebrity Holiday Special,” “The Great American Baking Show: Big Game Special,” and “The Great American Baking Show: Sweet Summer Special.” The iconic judges, Paul Hollywood and Dame Prue Leith, will also reprise their roles. The specials will feature celebrities, athletes, and comedians putting their baking skills to the test, all while raising money for charity.

“Honest Renovations,” hosted by best friends Jessica Alba and Lizzy Mathis, will also debut a holiday special titled “Honest Renovations: A Holiday Makeover.” In this special, Alba and Mathis will meet the Pauls, a large family of ten, and help transform their home just in time for their annual holiday party. The series focuses on renovating the homes of deserving families, with Alba and Mathis bringing their unique expertise and candid conversations about parenthood to each project.

The second seasons of both “The Great American Baking Show” and “Honest Renovations” are set to premiere later this year on The Roku Channel, building on the success of their inaugural seasons.
