ITV has announced that BAFTA Award-winning comedian Romesh Ranganathan will host a new primetime celebrity game show, “Romesh Ranganathan’s Parents’ Evening.” The three-episode series will feature three celebrities each week, competing to win money for their chosen charities. The twist? They’ll be teaming up with their parents or children.
The show is expected to deliver laughter and embarrassing moments as the celebrities’ fortunes depend on their family’s knowledge. Each round will test the celebrities, but the twist comes with their parents choosing the questions. The grown-up children must answer correctly, but their success is in their parents’ hands. If they meet expectations, they win; otherwise, the cash goes to the other teams.
Celebrities taking part include Alison Hammond and her son Aidan, Tony Bellew and son Corey, Joel Dommett and mum Penny, Mel B and daughter Phoenix, Jonathan Ross and daughter Honey, Carol Vorderman and son Cameron, Iain Stirling and his mum Alison, Richard Madeley and daughter Chloe, and Vicky Pattison with her mum Caroll.
“Romesh Ranganathan’s Parents’ Evening” is a celebrity game show created by Ranga Bee Productions for ITV1 and ITVX.
The show will air on ITV1 and be available on ITVX.
