This week’s The Rookie, titled “Wildfire,” and airing Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 8/7c on ABC, throws a bit of everything at the officers of the LAPD – including, well, fire. A raging wildfire sweeps through Los Angeles, creating city-wide chaos and pushing everyone to their limits.
Amid the inferno, Officer Nyla Harper’s suspicions about fellow officer Liam Glasser continue to fester. Her gut tells her something’s off, and amidst the chaos, it will be interesting to see if she gets any closer to the truth. Elsewhere, Officer John Nolan tries to help a friend caught in a tough spot. It’s a classic Nolan move – the earnest desire to do good, even when it’s probably a bad idea.
However, it’s Officer Tim Bradford’s mistake that threatens to have the most significant consequences. His error puts two fellow officers in danger, potentially leading to serious repercussions. “Wildfire” aims to crank up the tension, both on the fiery streets of LA and within the relationships of the Mid-Wilshire division.
