Sequins, sass, and a whole lot of glitter descend upon the Werk Room as RuPaul’s Drag Race tackles its annual Rusical challenge. This season, the queens will be transported to the land of Oz (with a dash of “Wicked” thrown in for good measure) for a musical extravaganza that will no doubt test their vocal cords, acting chops, and ability to lip-sync for their lives.
Choreographer Jamal Sims is tasked with whipping these queens into musical theater shape, which means we can expect some high-energy dance numbers and enough jazz hands to populate a small country. And as if the challenge itself wasn’t enough pressure, the queens will be judged by none other than Adam Lambert, the glam-rock god himself. Talk about high stakes.
Let’s be clear: the Rusical is always a highlight of any Drag Race season, providing an opportunity for the queens to bring their creativity, versatility, and sheer theatrical prowess.
