Rock Island State Park has two campgrounds, one for RVs and trailers and the other for tents only. The main campground has 50 sites, 20 of which are available year-round and equipped with electrical and water hookups. The park also offers cabin camping, with ten beautiful cabins featuring fireplaces, coffee pots, and charcoal grills.

Nearby attractions include Burgess Falls State Park, Virgin Falls State Natural Area, and Edgar Evins State Park, all of which offer their own unique trails and waterfalls to explore. For those seeking a more urban experience, Nashville, with its musical history and attractions like the Cheekwood Botanical Gardens, is less than a two-hour drive away.
