S.W.A.T. is an American procedural action drama series that follows the work of a Los Angeles Police Department Sergeant and his highly trained S.W.A.T. unit as they solve crimes and protect their city. The show is based on the 1975 television series of the same name and the 2003 film adaptation, existing in a shared universe with the FX crime drama The Shield.
