“S.W.A.T.” returns this Friday with a high-stakes episode that throws Hondo and his team into a pressure cooker. “Hostages,” airing at 10:00 PM ET/PT on CBS, sees an undercover anti-terror operation go sideways when felons disrupt the carefully orchestrated sting at a bus station and take hostages.

Meanwhile, the political machinations continue back at headquarters. Deputy Chief Bennett steps up her campaign to oust Hicks from his command of S.W.A.T., creating another source of tension as the team faces this critical situation in the field. Hicks, naturally, isn’t going down without a fight.
