SAG award nominee, American Movie award winner, and Los Angeles based, South African actor, Stelio Savante is set to guest star in the Feb 21 episode of CBS’s police procedural
action series “S.W.A.T.”.
In an episode titled “Deep Cover,” Savante plays Omar, who heads up a group of Albanian gangsters, forced to rob banks, in order to pay their debts to the Russian mob.
Inspired by the television series and the feature film, S.W.A.T. stars Shemar Moore as a former Marine and locally born and raised S.W.A.T. sergeant, tasked to run a specialized tactical unit that is the last stop in law enforcement in Los Angeles. S.W.A.T. is produced by Sony Pictures Television in association with CBS Studios.
The series is now in its eighth season. S.W.A.T. airs on Fridays at 10:00pm ET/PT on the CBS Television Network, and streams on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs).
Beyond “S.W.A.T.,” Savante has been keeping busy. He’s wrapped roles in “Stay Forte,” a war drama centered on the Israeli-Hamas conflict, and the UK-South African crime thriller “Poachers Moon.” Coming up, he’ll appear in “Between Borders,” a story about an Armenian family escaping Azerbaijan, which will hit Angel Studios’ platform on Monday, March 4, 2025. He’s also starring in Amazon MGM Studios’ “Sarah’s Oil,” a biopic about Sarah Rector, adapted from the book “Searching for Sarah Rector: The Richest Black Girl in America.”
And if that weren’t enough, he has producing credits on a slate of projects, including the drama “Summer of Violence,” heading to Tubi on Saturday, March 1, 2025; “Angry Neighbors” for Lionsgate; and “What Remains” currently available on Paramount Plus. He also has roles in the survival thriller “Hazel” and the noir drama “Wrong Way Out.” Savante isn’t one to rest on his laurels.
