It’s official: Sam Pang is back at the helm for the 65th TV Week Logie Awards, with Channel 7 confirming the comedian and broadcaster will return for his third consecutive year as host of Australian television’s biggest night.
The 2025 ceremony is set to air live on Sunday, August 3, from The Star Sydney, with full coverage across Seven and 7plus. Nominations will drop a few weeks prior, with a reveal scheduled in Sydney on Monday, June 16.
Pang’s return comes after some chatter about potential conflicts tied to his role fronting Sam Pang Tonight on Network Ten. But Seven is doubling down on its Logies play, betting on Pang’s familiarity and comic timing to keep the franchise in high gear following a ratings bump in 2024. Last year’s broadcast reached 3.5 million Australians, with a total TV audience of 1.44 million—marking the best numbers since 2016.
The NSW Government is again backing the event via Destination NSW, part of its strategy to keep the Logies in Sydney after years of alternating with Melbourne. The Star Sydney will host, with its Property CEO Janelle Campbell calling the venue “the ideal stage” for the annual industry blowout.
Seven West Media boss Jeff Howard underscored the broadcaster’s continued investment in the awards, describing the Logies as “a cornerstone of the Australian television landscape.”
