Hallmark’s decided to tackle Santa School. Not just any Santa School, mind you, one teetering on the brink of disaster. In “The Santa Class,” premiering Saturday, December 14, Kimberley Sustad stars as Kate North, suddenly thrust into the role of headmistress at her family’s struggling institution. As if that weren’t enough pressure, the school’s very existence hinges on outperforming its arch-rival, the perfectly-named St. Nicholas School. Because apparently, even Santa training is a cutthroat business.
Adding to the chaos, Kate and her colleague, Dan (Benjamin Ayres), stumble upon a man they suspect is the genuine article – Santa Claus himself – suffering from amnesia after a sleigh mishap. Now, besides prepping a gaggle of aspiring Santas, Kate and Dan have a full-blown Christmas crisis on their hands. Their solution? Enroll the amnesiac Santa in their own training program, hoping to jog his memory and save the holidays. It’s a bold strategy, let’s see if it pays off.
This isn’t your standard Hallmark holiday fare. “The Santa Class” throws a dash of mystery and a whole lot of high-stakes competition into the usual romantic-comedy mix. Will Kate save her family’s legacy? Will Santa remember who he is? Will Kate and Dan find time for some mistletoe moments amidst the madness? Tune in to find out.
“The Santa Class” premieres Saturday, December 14 at 8:00 PM on Hallmark.
