The Emmy Award-winning show “Saturday Night Live” (SNL), is returning on April 1 with three back-to-back shows. The first episode will be hosted by Quinta Brunson, the executive producer, writer, and star of ABC’s “Abbott Elementary”. Lil Yachty will make his musical guest debut by performing during the show. His latest album, “Let’s Start Here,” debuted at number one on Billboard’s top rock and alternative charts.
The second show will be hosted by Molly Shannon, who will be returning to Studio 8H to host SNL for the second time. Shannon is currently starring in “A Good Person,” playing in theaters, and the third season of “The Other Two,” premiering on May 4 on HBO Max. The Jonas Brothers will make their third appearance on SNL as musical guests. Their newest album, “The Album,” will feature the upcoming single “Waffle House” and is set to be released on May 12.
The third and final episode back-to-back will be hosted by Academy Award nominee, Ana de Armas. De Armas is starring in “Ghosted,” premiering on Apple TV+ on April 21. Karol G will make her first appearance as a musical guest during the episode. Her latest album, “Mañana Será Bonito,” is the first all-Spanish album by a female artist to hit number one on the Billboard 200 chart.
SNL streams live on Peacock and broadcasts on NBC. It has won the 2022 Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series making it the most Emmy-nominated show in television history, having won 93 Emmy Awards, including awards for its specials and short-form series. The creator and executive producer of SNL is Lorne Michaels.
