This February, SBS On Demand brings you an abundance of free streaming highlights.

This month’s highlights include all new episodes of international smash titles such as Bloodlands, A Criminal Affair, The Walk-In, Sick, The American Presidency with Bill Clinton, Michel Roux Jr.’s French Country Cooking, The Head, Carmen Curlers, and Barossa Gourmet with Justine Schofield.

Also noteworthy are the films Django: The Chosen Ones, Trainspotting with Francis Bourgeois, and The Cook Up with Adam Liaw.

Northern Ireland police detective Tom Brannick (James Nesbitt) is a seasoned pro, and when a pricey car is recovered from the water, he immediately makes the connection to a notorious cold case involving a long-buried series of mysterious disappearances that holds enormous personal significance to him. His relentless pursuit of the semi-mythical character behind these events brings him to a man known only by his code name, Goliath. It involves a case from Tom’s and his country’s troubled history.

A Criminal Affair (series one)

In A Criminal Affair, we learn of a mother’s sad efforts over the course of 15 years to have her son released from prison after being wrongfully convicted of murder. It’s also the tale of a detective from the Major Crimes Unit who suspected a loved one of being the killer all along but never said anything.

A Criminal Affair will air at a later date on SBS. This series will be available in French Canadian and English with English subtitles.

Tensions are high for activist Matthew Collins (Stephen Graham) and his advocacy group Hope Not Hate as they anticipate a violent, racist campaign from the British far right in the wake of the impending Brexit referendum, which has disrupted the country’s political landscape. And when multiple terrorist acts in Britain in 2017 are linked to Islamism, the right-wing extremist group National Action sees an opening.

When 26-year-old Alice (Carla Sehn) survives cervical cancer, she is eager to resume her life afresh in London just to realise it has all fallen apart during her treatment. Broke, and recently dumped by her boyfriend (who fell in love with a receptionist at the hospital) she is forced to move back to Sweden and in with her family.

Carmen Curlers is inspired by actual events that began in 1963, when the entrepreneur Axel (Morten Hee Andersen) stumbled upon an invention: the electric curler. A revolutionary invention with a potential to liberate women with an easy, quick, and cheap way to get curly hair in ten minutes instead of hours at the salon.

The Cook Up with Adam Liaw returns to screens for a fourth season with new episodes hot off the grill and ready to be served up every weeknight at 7pm on SBS Food.

Each night Adam is joined by two guests in the kitchen to create delicious food based around a different theme. There will be no shortage of great chats and food on The Cook Up with Adam welcoming some new faces and old friends. Adam will be joined by culinary stars such as Hetty McKinnon, Elizabeth Chong, O Tama Carey, Gabriel Gaté, Ben Shewry, Julia Busuttil Nishimura, and Colin Fassnidge; as well as legends in the world of sports, entertainment and social media such as Paralympic medalist Col Pearse, Zan Rowe, Harley Breen, Collette Dinnigan, Peking Duk’s Reuben Styles, Joel The Butcher and Vincent Lim aka Dim Sim Lim.

Adam also cooks alongside some of the finest upcoming and established chefs whilst having fascinating discussions with the most interesting journalists and personalities from all around the country. Of course, just like any good dinner host should – Adam has

A thrilling retelling of the classic set in the American Wild West of the 1860s and 1870s is brough to life in this gritty French and Italian production.

Sarah (Lisa Vicari) and John (Nicholas Pinnock) have founded New Babylon, a city of outcasts, full of men and women of all backgrounds, races, and creeds, that welcomes everyone with open arms. Haunted by the murder of his family eight years earlier, Django (Matthias Shoenaerts) is still looking for his daughter, believing she may have survived. He is shocked to find her in New Babylon, about to marry John. But Sarah, now a grown woman, wants Django to leave, as she fears he will put New Babylon in jeopardy if he stays. Django, believing the city is in danger, is adamant that he will not lose his daughter twice.

Django will air at a later date on SBS. Double episodes will become available on SBS On Demand weekly starting Thursday, 23 February midnight.
