Channel 4 has revealed the main cast for Summerwater, a new six-part Scottish drama based on the novel by Sarah Moss. Dougray Scott, Shirley Henderson, and Valene Kane will head the ensemble.

It examines the building tensions among different families holidaying there, which eventually lead to a destructive event. The story also looks back at significant past events in the characters’ lives. John Donnelly adapted the book.
What This Means Now: The drama brings together a strong cast, including Arnas Fedaravičius, Anna Próchniak, Daniel Rigby, and Gabriel Scott, under directors Robert McKillop and Fiona Walton. It sets the stage for an atmospheric story exploring human behaviour under pressure in an isolated setting.
