Here’s the Lowdown: A year after the events of the first season, Martin returns to his coastal hometown, Port Silver, only to find his childhood friend murdered and Mandy the prime suspect. The series, filmed in Augusta, Western Australia, follows Martin’s quest to clear Mandy’s name and uncover the real killer, a journey that forces him to confront the town’s secrets and his own past.

What This Means Now: Fans of the first season, which was a critical and commercial success, can look forward to another gripping mystery with familiar characters. The cast also includes Luke Carroll, Debra Lawrance, David Roberts, and Tasma Walton.

The Bigger Picture: Scrublands: Silver is a co-commission between Stan and the 9Network, highlighting the continued collaboration between streaming services and traditional broadcasters. This represents a significant investment in Australian drama, with backing from Screenwest, Lotterywest, and the WA Regional Screen Fund. The show adds to Stan’s growing slate of original Australian content. International sales are handled by Sphere Abacus. The brand new season of the Stan Original Series Scrublands: Silver premieres on April 17. All episodes from season one are also available.
