Lark Productions and CBC have announced the start of filming for Season 2 of the police drama Allegiance, which is set to continue until December 5, 2024, in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. The show, which premiered in winter 2024, quickly became CBC’s most-watched new series for the 2023-24 season.
This high-octane drama, uniquely set in Surrey, BC, features Supinder Wraich as Sabrina Sohal and Enrico Colantoni as Vince Brambilla, with new cast member Samer Salem joining as Detective Corporal Zak Kalaini.
The narrative of Allegiance revolves around themes of identity, belonging, and the challenges within the justice system. Season 2 will explore storylines that tackle contemporary issues such as online gambling and the roles of tech janitors and international schools.
Lead character Sabrina Sohal is faced with the challenge of proving herself within the Serious Crimes Unit of the CFPC, working alongside a seasoned partner while also managing a complicated personal life and a mission to clear her father’s name.
The returning cast features Stephen Lobo, Adolyn H. Dar, David Cubitt, Crystal Balint, Toby Levins, Melanie Papalia, and Andres Joseph.
The series is produced by Lark Productions in collaboration with Universal International Studios, with global sales managed by NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution. Executive Producers include Stephanie Morgenstern, Mark Ellis, and Anar Ali.
