Season 2 of The Chicken Sisters Lands on Hallmark in August

The Chicken Sisters Key Art

Hallmark Channel’s family feud dramedy The Chicken Sisters returns for a second season on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at 8:00 PM ET. The new chapter brings back the Moore-Hillier clan, still at odds over love, legacy, and a local food war that refuses to simmer down.

Eight new episodes will roll out weekly on Hallmark, with each episode landing on Hallmark+ the next day. Viewers will find Merinac, Kansas, once again at the centre of the storm. This time, Frank Jr. stirs up trouble by opening a rival restaurant, Mr. Chicken’s Cluckery, right across from the family’s own duelling diners.

The season builds around Mae and Jay’s upcoming wedding, but the path to the altar is anything but smooth. Complications rise when a figure from Gus’s past turns up unannounced. Meanwhile, the women at the heart of the Moore-Hillier dynasty are attempting one last push to end the decades-long divide between their kitchens—and their families.

The Chicken Sisters remains anchored by its original ensemble. Schuyler Fisk, Genevieve Angelson, James Kot, Lea Thompson, and Wendie Malick all return, with Margo Martindale continuing her role as narrator.

The series is adapted from KJ Dell’Antonia’s bestselling novel by Annie Mebane, with Erin Gibson returning as showrunner. Production is handled by Fox Entertainment Studios, Lighthouse Pictures, and Busy B Entertainment.

This is one of Hallmark’s key scripted releases for the second half of 2025, as the network looks to strengthen its slate of multi-generational drama that bridges broadcast and streaming.
