The glitter and allure of HBO’s Cathouse get a hard reality check in A&E’s new docuseries, Secrets of the Bunny Ranch. Returning Thursday, June 12 with episode two, Here, Pretty Kitty (10:01 PM ET), the series continues to pull back the curtain on life inside Nevada’s Moonlite Bunny Ranch, revealing a world far less glamorous than the one previously depicted.
Building on the first episode’s exposé, Here, Pretty Kitty spotlights the experiences of women who traded dreams of easy money for a reality of manipulation, intimidation, and straight-up abuse. New recruits to Dennis Hof’s brothel empire soon learned the hard way that freedom came at a steep price—often in the form of debt bondage and psychological control.
The series paints a stark picture of Hof’s legacy, pushing past the reality-TV facade of Cathouse to confront the darker allegations surrounding the Bunny Ranch—including bullying, sexual assault, and even murder. While the first episode laid the groundwork, Here, Pretty Kitty goes deeper, giving voice to women who have largely remained silent until now.
