Secrets of the Hells Angels

The premiere episode of Secrets of the Hells Angels takes viewers inside the notorious motorcycle club, the Hells Angels, through the eyes of ATF agent Jay Dobyns, who went undercover to infiltrate the gang.

The episode, “Hell’s Agents“, airing on A&E on Friday, April 14, will showcase Dobyns’ dangerous and challenging journey as he navigates the violent and complex world of the Hells Angels.

The episode will delve into Dobyns’ undercover operation, codenamed “Operation Black Biscuit”, which lasted from 2001 to 2003. Posing as a gunrunner and debt collector named Jay Davis, or “Jaybird”, Dobyns embedded himself within the Mesa, Arizona chapter of the Hells Angels.

During this time, he learned about the gang’s strict rules regarding relationships with women, known as “bangs”, and the violent consequences of breaking them. He also discovered that, contrary to popular belief, not all members were drug addicts, and some chapters were involved in community service.

The operation resulted in the indictment of 55 Hells Angels members and associates, with 16 members facing racketeering charges. However, the success of the operation came at a personal cost to Dobyns. He faced death threats from the Hells Angels and other gangs, and his home was burned down in 2008.

The series premiere of Secrets of the Hells Angels airs on A&E at 9.00 pm on Friday, April 14, 2024.
