The city that never sleeps holds a darkness few dare to confront, and as a chilling wind sweeps through the streets, Oxygen’s “New York Homicide” makes its return, premiering Saturday, February 1, at 9 PM ET/PT. The series, which drew in 8.3 million viewers with its second season, plunges into the heart of the Big Apple’s most unsettling murder cases. This season, retired NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert K. Boyce, a man who spent 35 years within the city’s underbelly, acts as our guide. With the experience of thousands of cases behind him, he provides unique insight into the crimes that shook the city and the consuming quest for justice.

Boyce’s perspective, forged from decades on the force, will take viewers through 20 new cases this season, each a disturbing chapter in the city’s history. Among them is the opulent life, and violent death, of an Indian prince, the tragic discovery of a man amidst the wreckage of Hurricane Sandy, and the slaying of a man in Hell’s Kitchen that impacted New York’s club scene. Also investigated is the heart-wrenching story of a tech entrepreneur, brutally attacked as he reached his prime, and the chilling hunt for a serial killer who left Brooklyn on edge. Each investigation pulls the viewer into the murky depths of the city’s undercurrent.

The season three premiere, titled “Deadly Lesson,” immediately follows a new episode of “Prosecuting Evil with Kelly Siegler,” opening with the discovery of a teacher, lifeless, in her Staten Island home. Detectives, within this close-knit community, become consumed with seeking the truth. Their investigation exposes a network of lies and secrets behind closed doors, a revelation that leaves even the most seasoned detectives reeling from its implications.

A week later, on Saturday, February 8, at 9 PM ET/PT, “The Almost Perfect Murder” unravels the mystery behind a Brooklyn landlord’s disappearance. The NYPD, suspicious of foul play, work tirelessly to find the truth. With a lack of physical evidence and no body, a suspect remains at large, until a secret witness emerges to expose the horrific truth.
