For football fan Frank Hathaway, a case at local club Avon FC feels like a dream job. He and Lu are hired by the team’s manager to uncover the identity of a saboteur who has been causing trouble for the club. Frank throws himself into the investigation with enthusiasm, excited to go behind the scenes of his beloved team.
Their straightforward case of sabotage, however, takes a much darker turn when the situation escalates to murder. With the club thrown into chaos and a killer on the loose, Frank and Lu must switch their focus from petty pranks to a deadly game. Can they identify the culprit before the final whistle blows on another victim?
